Welcome

Picture of a laptop

Welcome to my website, which shares my doctoral research exploring experiences of synchronous online tuition within my own context as a tutor of health and social care at a large UK-based university specialising in distance learning. Increasingly, synchronous online tuition has replaced face-to-face. Some, but not all, of the students I tutor now receive all of their tuition in online rooms.

My study takes an experience-centred narrative approach, using participant diaries and stimulated recall telephone interviews to gain detailed insights into students’ experiences.
